T'was the Week Before Christmas
T’was
the week before Christmas, when all through
the house
Not an item was left out, not even a blouse,
The boxes were packed by NW Organizing with
care,
In hopes that the movers soon would be
there.
The homeowners were celebrating the new life
they’d find,
While visions of their new place danced in
their mind.
And mom with her luggage, and I with my
case,
Were ready to take on this new change of
pace.
When down on the road came the truck with a
roar,
We ran from the house, met the truck at the
door.
To the back of the truck to open the latch,
Tore open the doors and lifted the hatch.
The movers worked quickly, so lively and
fast
We knew in a moment this would be in the
past.
With care and precision, the movers they
came,
They hollered, and shouted; called boxes by
name!
"Now bedding, now towels! Now, dishes and
pans!
On, chairs! On, tables! On dressers and
fans!
To the top of the truck! To the top of the
wall!
Now move it all! Move it all! Move it all,
haul!"
Then on to the new house the movers they
flew,
With the truck full of clothing and
furniture too.
They arrived at the spot and smiled with
glee.
“This home will bring joy to this family
you’ll see.”
The organizer entered and went straight to
her work,
Unloading the boxes without even a shirk.
She helped set the place up so perfect, for
certain,
Arranging their goodies, even hanging the
curtains.
We opened the door, to our face came a
smile,
The place it was finished, in such a short
while
So all heard us exclaim, as we knew it would
prove,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good
move!"
